"Mermaid Park" by Beth Mayall is one of my favorites. Amy is heading of with her family to go on a short vacation to Jersey shore where they will stay at her Mothers Godmothers apartment. While shes there, she discovers a park, mermaid park, where shows of mermaids take place. She has a urge to learn how to do what they do, stay under water so long.
